This is a book about love and forgiving, about an imaginary world more powerful than the world of superficial reality. After his initial sensual experiences a young man, Mansil becomes fully aware of reality but he continues living in the wonder wood of his home town, Belgrade, surrounded by mysteries just like anyone who refuses to accept everyday routine which wears one out and leaves him indifferent and empty.

“........Mystery was without saying the most important thing for us, it was the driving force of life itself when we did not know for death, it was more important than hope when we did not know for hopelessness, more important than success since we did not know for failure, mystery usually in shape of a woman with a beautiful, hopelessly faraway face, mystery, the token of our chastity. Luckily, the time when we believed in the value of our cognition did not last long...”
